Scott Berliner became the West Florida Golf Tour's first two-time major champion this season, when his 10-under par 134 total was enough for a two-shot victory at the King of Lake Open on Thursday at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City.
Berliner bested Matt Cooney for the title, and earned a cool $2,500 for first place.
His first major came in the 2012 Manatee County Open at River Wilderness Golf and Country Club in Parrish.
Berliner was consistent with his play, firing 5-under 67s in both rounds.
