Sarasota High junior Michael Colgate leads the Sarasota City Men's Amateur after first round action at Bobby Jones Golf Complex held on the British Course.
Colgate posted a 3-under par 69 for a one-shot cushion over three players.
Bradenton's Phil Walters and Cardinal Mooney alumnus Chris Kennedy are two of those players sitting at 2-under 70.
