Bradenton's Jim Stone is the leading Manatee County player after the first round of the Florida State Senior Amateur Championship.
However, Stone has work to do following his first round 74 at Lake Wales Country Club on Tuesday at the 51st annual event.
Stone is five shots behind first-round leader A.J. Kroeger, of Apopka, who shot 69.
The tournament continues on Wednesday.
